According to the news agency of Iran Mall Event & Convention Center (IMEC), Clarity for all: Messe Frankfurt will not be holding any of its own physical trade fairs until the end of March 2021 at its Frankfurt location. The company is revamping its spring trade fair calendar to focus on new synergies and new digital offerings. While it has been possible to stage 13 large fairs at various locations in China since the pandemic began, such events cannot be held in Germany at present, especially as the latest pandemic developments are resulting in renewed tightening of travel restriction by governments and, in particular, by companies. Wolfgang Marzin, president and chief executive officer of Messe Frankfurt: "It is important for our customers that we make a decision at an early date. Messe Frankfurt will continue working closely with its customers to ensure that its decisions serve the interests of the exhibiting industries." As a result of the revamped schedule, Heimtextil will move from January to May (4 to 7). The Ambiente, Christmasworld and Paperworld shows will be making a once-only appearance as a joint event called "International Consumer Goods Show – Special Edition" from April 17 to 20. ISH will keep its March slot but will run from March 22 to 26, 2021 as a purely digital event. (ch)
