Participation of 20 Homogeneous Unions from All over the Country in

First International Exhibition of Top Brands of Shoes, Bags and Sporting Goods

Trade unions of footwear industries along with some 20 homogeneous unions from all over the country brought together manufacturers and designers under one roof in order to complement the raw material supply chain.

According to the news agency of Iran Mall Exhibition Center, the first international exhibition of the top brands of shoes, bags and sporting goods was held from 27 to 30 August, 2019, with the work of top designers in clothing industry at Iran Mall’s Permanent Center for the International Exhibition and Trade Events with participation of more than 100 manufacturers, 40 suppliers or manufacturers of raw materials and 150 designers in clothing industry.

‘Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade (IMT)’ Deputy of Commercial Affairs and Trade Development Mojtaba Shirghazi, Deputy of Supervision and Inspection of IMT Organization Azizollah Afzali, Head of Tehran Province IMT Organization Yadollah Sadeghi, Head of the Security Department of Tehran Province IMT Organization Yahya Keykhah, President of Iran Chamber of Guilds Saeed Mombeini, IMT Minister's Representative in the Chamber of Guilds and Vice President of the Chamber of Guilds Ebrahim Dorosti, President of Tehran Chamber of Guilds Ghasem Noudeh Farahani, Secretary of Tehran Chamber of Guilds Ali Fazeli, and President of Tehran Shoe Union and Head of Exhibition Staff Ali Azhdarkesh visited the exhibition.

President of the Mechanized Footwear Industries Union Ali Azhdarkesh said that the objective of the exhibition was to change the country's fashion industry and to align the domestic culture of the manufacturers with the needs of the day.

According to the Iran Mall Exhibition Center, the international exhibition of top brands of shoes, bags and sporting goods was held in an area of more than 10,000 square meters in two halls of 3,000 and 7,000 meters; in addition to the unions of the Mechanized Footwear Industries, Sarrajan, Natural and Synthetic Leather and Sportswear in Tehran, some 16 trade unions from across the country, including Mashhad, Tabriz, Qom, Isfahan and Hamadan, also participated in the exhibition and put on display their products.

It is worth noting that the exhibition was well-attended by over 180,000 visitors and enthusiasts of footwear, bags and clothing.
